I knew someone who had time traveled from the future... Could your powers do something like that? Different time, different place.

I can't either here the way I could say home.

I could travel through to different worlds, but it wouldn't be easy. It would take a toll on me and my memory.

It was possible for me to "rewind" but I would be the only one to notice it. Generally, I didn't need it for long.

I see.

When I went on that trip on Thursday, I thought it could have been an ability that brought me there. Not that I thought you were responsible, but if it were similar, you could have intel on how that works.

It's important to learn whatever you're able to.

I'm not sure if it's an ability or some odd quirk about being here.

Have you ever gone on a trip outside of the city?

It was months ago, but I have. We went to something called the Netherworld.

That sounds less pleasant than a casino...

There was a surprising amount of magma. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't enjoy the heat.

I can tolerate the beach, but probably not magma.

Did you have to get a treasure too?

No, we had to stop aliens. There was no particular need to get anything else.

That sounds like something heroic.

I did not mind getting the treasure. But I wonder if there is something not very heroic in charge who decides these things.

It felt somewhat like self-interest at the time.

I believe that's possible, Whisper. Whoever adjusted the game rules was cruel. I'm not certain it's the same thing that takes people out on trips.

So like an evil council instead?

I don't know for certain. At this point, we have so few leads to follow.

Psy Ops is not my specialty, but I do not like waiting around either. I want to complete my mission and return home.

I'd like to return and begin my own.

My mission. I was supposed to begin looking into something dangerous to my world.

Do you think we'll ever get to leave?

I do. Sooner or later we're going to find a way out of here.

Maybe once we defeat the villain council.
