Today, when Will is alone, they will receive a text message from Aquamarine Fox.

Hey hey! Can you come to the cafe ASAP? I know it's a rough morning, but we've got some stuff to talk about.

Linger for too long, and they will find Fox's own prinny at their side, ushering them toward the Storybook Cafe. Upon arrival, it leads them toward the back and out into the courtyard, where Aquamarine Fox waits at a table with two cups of tea, a small plate of pastries, and a wan smile.

"Thanks for coming. You've got an important job to do from now on."

On their phone, Will will find a new app available to them: POWER SENSOR. In the app, they will find a set of rules that they must accept in order to continue:

RULES

1. Once a week, the Power Sensor will be given a list of powers and items that have been used from Monday to Friday morning of that week.
2. From this list, the Power Sensor may choose one power or item to gain more information on.
3. The Power Sensor must keep this role a secret.

After reading the rules and accepting, Will will be greeted with a new screen containing the aforementioned list. Once they've made their choice for the week and closed the app, they will not be able to open it again, nor will anyone else will be able to see or access the app or the information within.

"With any luck," says Fox, still wearing that small smile, "this will be able to help you tomorrow. If you have any questions, I'm here to help."

That feels a little like cheating now that I can't tell him about this, though.

Maybe not. But it'd feel like cheating if I asked him about it again, if he's forgotten.

...anyway, I... [his brow furrows] Is there any reason you can think of that I shouldn't pick the medal?

[the way they mentioned emerald goat right after the medal came up worries him.]

Um... Not really? It was there at the scene, and now it's on your list, so there's no doubt it's connected. It's a safe choice from the items.

The only other thing would be to like... try to get an idea of what the other teams' powers are, I guess. But like you said, there's no guarantee that those will be connected.

...alright. Medal it is, then. Let's see what I learn.

'Sides, I'm pretty sure people will end up telling me their team powers on their own.

[ they're more curious than upset. ]

A ton of us did end up in jail. I don't think we're all very good at doing what we're told?

That's true. Just don't get upset with me for wanting you to be safe, okay?

I get that way about people I care about, too.

I don't really wanna tell you what to do, and I understand not wanting to keep secrets from your boyfriend, too. So I'm really sorry to ask you to do that, but I trust you.

...if it helps, it helps. I wanna get to the bottom of everything that's been going on here.

I won't really be able to do that if I get "fired," will I?

I don't want to say you can't solve it without this role... but I'm hoping it'll help out, at least a little.

That... I'm not sure. It sounds like it's designed to help with what happens on Thursdays. But if you guys find something from the book or whatever, we can always talk about it and see.

Nope... We're still looking, but nothing yet. And no word on any new pages yet, either, so everything's a dead end so far. It's really frustrating.

Pages, huh? [...he frowns, thinking back a little.] Hold on, back up. When you say "book," I'm guessing you don't mean one of the books here in the cafe...?

Do you mean like a rulebook or something?

No, there's a different book. We found a page torn out of it a few weeks ago that told us about the whole competition. That's kind of how we knew you were coming.

...oh, boy. That's suspicious as heck.

Isn't it? But we haven't found anything else yet, so I don't know for sure if it's related beyond that, or how.
