Role: Power Sensor

Today, when Will is alone, they will receive a text message from Aquamarine Fox.
Linger for too long, and they will find Fox's own prinny at their side, ushering them toward the Storybook Cafe. Upon arrival, it leads them toward the back and out into the courtyard, where Aquamarine Fox waits at a table with two cups of tea, a small plate of pastries, and a wan smile.
"Thanks for coming. You've got an important job to do from now on."
On their phone, Will will find a new app available to them: POWER SENSOR. In the app, they will find a set of rules that they must accept in order to continue:
After reading the rules and accepting, Will will be greeted with a new screen containing the aforementioned list. Once they've made their choice for the week and closed the app, they will not be able to open it again, nor will anyone else will be able to see or access the app or the information within.
"With any luck," says Fox, still wearing that small smile, "this will be able to help you tomorrow. If you have any questions, I'm here to help."

Hey hey! Can you come to the cafe ASAP? I know it's a rough morning, but we've got some stuff to talk about.

RULES1. Once a week, the Power Sensor will be given a list of powers and items that have been used from Monday to Friday morning of that week.
2. From this list, the Power Sensor may choose one power or item to gain more information on.
3. The Power Sensor must keep this role a secret.

Why do you say that?
That's a good guess, though. Someone who used it to survive the night?
no subject
[...he nods.]
Right. But if that means it was used to survive the night, then one of the culprits is on Cobalt Ox's team. [his brow furrows.] ...are you sure I can't talk about this with Nico? He'd seriously never tell anyone else, and he's better at this sort of thing than I am.
no subject
[ he shrugs. ]
...You can't. I'm sorry. I think if you try, you'll lose access to the app and everything it tells you, and I don't know if it would, like, go to someone else or not.
no subject
Did they go into it planning to go after someone, but wanted insurance that they'd survive it...?
[...
he shakes his head.]
No use guessing motives now. We've been wrong about the reasons before, I'm gonna wait until we see the rest of the evidence before going down that path.
[a sigh, then.]
...I get it. Well. I'll still - I'll still send another text tomorrow. Maybe considering that the power was used will help us figure something out if the evidence doesn't make sense.
no subject
If you keep sending the texts, maybe they'll start trusting them more. It gave you all something to work with last week, didn't it?
no subject
...
Is there anything stopping me from just texting all of the items that were used during the week, actually? Even if I don't know what all they do. Others who have gotten the wonderballs and do know can help fill in the blanks.
no subject
[ he sounds a little unsure, because none of team B are as open as he or the rest of team A. but hopeful, nonetheless. ]
I don't see why you couldn't? You know the items, just not what they do. [ ... ] Maybe don't out all the powers, though? Since those are meant to be secret in the first place. Just keep them in mind, maybe.
no subject
[he's sure he could come up with alternative explanations for having a burner phone but i, britt, am too tired to come up with any, so. better to just keep it out of sight.]
Yeah, I'll leave the powers off. But tomorrow I'll send a message like, these items were all used at some point between Monday and Friday. I don't know what all of them do and I can't account for when they were all used. However, I do have more specific information about something that was used on Thursday.
And then copy over the information about the power without saying which team it belonged to, like last time. The people on that team can field that one, if they feel like sharing. And we might be able to get some idea based on their reactions to seeing it, too.
no subject
That sounds like a good plan. And then anyone who knows those items could speak up, if they want to.
Mmhm... If they know who had that power to begin with, they could help solve it from there. I don't expect them to say it out loud, but they could try to steer the trial in the right direction.
no subject
...yeah. Hopefully getting us all talking will give us something to work with. [he sighs.] I just, you know - I want to help.

[ME WHEEZING BECAUSE I GENUINELY THOUGHT KING CARD WAS AN AMAZOOM ITEM AND NOT A CYOA ITEM UNTIL NICO SPOKE UP AT TRIAL HELP]

Which increases the chances I'll be able to find something that's relevant to what keeps happening.
no subject
...The best case scenario would be stopping the murders altogether, but I don't know if we have a way to do that yet.
no subject
...but I hope we find one. I don't want more people to have to die.
no subject
[ he kind of just. deflates in his chair. ]
But maybe there's another page somewhere we haven't found yet. One with the answer we're looking for.
no subject
Just a note at the end like, Psych! I got you good, huh? You don't have to do any of this.
no subject
But it still sucks for the ones who already died...
no subject
[he sighs deeply]
...you know, there's - back in my world. There's this thing, the Door of Orpheus.

It's one of the secret ways for a living person to enter the Underworld. Nico and I, uh - well, we went through it. [...] It's not easy, but it's definitely... possible to get someone out of there.
I wonder if this world has some kind of equivalent. If it does - I want to find it and open it.
no subject
That does sound pretty dangerous... But really nice, if it works.
How would we find something like that, anyway?
no subject
[he purses his lips, thinking.]
But some of you visited this world's Underworld, didn't you? Where the Prinnies are from. Maybe there's some kind of clue there?
