I don't blame them. I would too if people started speculating about who I was or wasn't seeing. If it's that much of an obsession for them, might as well play around with their expectations.

Although, I don't know if I trust the paper here not to, in some way at some point. Whoever's writing it really likes latching onto things without evidence.

It's just a newspaper, though. As wild as it sounds, I doubt anyone will take what it says to heart.

I'd be more concerned about the one who's so easily influenced by a newspaper than the ones writing it.

Like I said, you'd be surprised. Critical thinking when it comes to what you read in the news isn't always people's strong point.

I know, but it's not a bad idea to keep an eye on the general public opinion when a new newspaper comes out.

You could also try talking to the people to find out.

Yeah, I did and it gave me a headache. The guy had opinions, but also didn't know a thing about what was actually going on.

Mm, some of them are like that. They're probably still recovering from the whole fight, too, so it makes sense they'd still be a bit confused.

But they can help you get an idea of general opinion, at least.

But... well, we can see the aftermath with all the rebuilding that's going on. How badly did what happen effect the citizens as well as you guys?

Why should they question something they're used to?

...We managed to evacuate a number of people, but it happened to fast to get everyone out. Many lives were lost that day.

A little questioning never hurt. When people get complacent, that's when things go wrong, right?
