I wouldn't be surprised if it was Saya. I don't know why - perhaps she orchestrated what happened to Danny, and Vane was just collateral. [ ... ] If that's the case, then yes. I agree.
[ attempts to parse anything. stares at the sky i'm not as smart as you tem ]
Everything at the convenience store and the dorm, to start. Beyond that, though - he was also connected to the case with Will and Ponta, though I've the full story of that one, now. Which means that he was a piece in all three cases.
I had wondered if the standee was part of his case as well - the one of you - but I believe that was connected to Danny's part of it, not as much his. It made the entire thing quite muddled.
Somehow I am not surprised he managed to be involved in three cases possibly on accident. [ Vane Vaneson what have you been doing ]
If it was connected to Danny's part, then it may have been Danny to do it. He did really enjoy causing destruction. [ Vane would never! Not without feeling bad. ] Either Danny or whomever else may be involved.
Perhaps, but he has no reason to be angry with you in particular that I know of.
[ danny, at least. ]
So why take it out on you? You can be annoying, but it's harmless. [ this is a joke ]
It could have been a sign. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one, aimed towards myself, though it may not have been to draw my attention short of a connection. I like to think Danny would not have stabbed me - we were getting along quite well.
Or, it could have been an indicator of height - the level at which someone could comfortably stab someone else. Either way, it was strange.
[ as he's saying this, though, he pauses. the light in his eyes flickers a bit, brightening. ]
....Or. Or, if Vane was coerced, it could have been something to try and make him snap out of it. Something to make him angry.
You keep coming back for more, dearest. [ Definitely can't be that bad. They think about it for a moment or two, as they pull their phone up again to read some of the notes. ]
While he does seem to like me, I doubt a standee of me being harmed would piss him off. If you stabbed one of his Foxes however, that might be another story. Maybe we should set it aside for now. It may have been inconsequential since I am so well loved and all. [ hmm ]
[ he murmurs, batting at the hand, but it's absentminded, and his hand comes to his chin afterwards, as he starts to think. ]
In which part? I believe the timeline would have gone Ponta and Will first - followed by Danny - and then Vane's kill last. I do believe Vane was used to kill Danny.
[ which is. collateral that he's deeply unhappy about but the likelihood of him talking about it is about zero. ]
According to Will, Vane joined him the night of. That's why he had the same bullet marks from the rubber bullets. Afterwards, I assume he ran not into his killer, but to Danny. They perhaps attempted to set traps for someone else - whomever else was awake. There was a trail from the Anime Store to the photography area, was there not?
If they went from the photography area to the konbini - perhaps they were being trailed, at that point. And they built that so called barricade for it to keep whoever it was out.
They may have thought there was more going on between Vane and myself? [ That's both funny and adorable in it's own way. ] Little do they know I was helping him figure things out with someone else.
[ Oh well. Whatever goes on in the thoughts of killers or anyone involved in those... stay in those nights. ]
Let's keep the Little Fox's case separate for the moment, dearest. Do we know how long the drums command work? It seemed to be immediate from the example.
So it may have been within the hour. [ Tapping their screen a bit. ] The photo strikes me as odd. Is Danny the sort to play around in a photo booth while someone was hunting him down?
[ yeah, no. he frowns, putting his hand to his chin. ]
... Perhaps the sunglasses could have been to hide his expression. He had tear tracks on his face, no?
But that doesn't explain Vane killing him, if Danny was the one controlled. I find it hard to believe that Vane would just attack him and then suddenly get killed himself - it seems far too strange of a coincidence, especially considering he was involved in the planning of the condition between Will and Ponta. He would have known that the Foxes were planning on killing. He wouldn't have needed to act.
So likely Danny wasn't being controlled, but Danny also wouldn't take selfies if he was in danger. I also don't think he'd grab on to the arm of someone who was trying to harm him.
If Vane was controlled, it may have happened at the Konbini. It would explain why the item was found there.
No - I don't either, unless it was in an attempt to attack them. That fits into my original timeline, as well.
[ he looks thoughtful. ] I agree the control happened there. Similarly, I know Vane was removed from the Konbini already injured, with that cart, and then brought to the dorm.
...If the command was something like "cooperate with me", then, that might explain some of the odder actions.

He is impulsive. Honestly, I have considered him several times as a suspect for other cases, including Captain Janeway's, but only after the fact. Impulsive, and protective of the people that he cares about - and the sort to hold onto a grudge. To give you an idea, the Sunday I executed Mika, he came after me with a knife, but I was able to talk him down.
[ oh temenos is COOKING now. the blue of his eyes flickers again, brightening. ]
He strongly disliked Danny, and spent time with me last week trying to discern who had killed Reigen, in order to try and help Nimona and the others. If he had drawn the conclusion that Danny killed Reigen as many of us seem to have from reading the paper, it is not impossible to think that he would have made a move. Particularly because an act in which the killer did not think that the Fox team was prepared feels up his alley. It would have 'saved' the teenagers in that group from having to act.
But, I'm not sure that using the drum would have allowed it to count for Fox's team. And I don't believe that Hanako would have thought that through.
