It's a different city, yes, but there are a lot of similarities. Cities in general tend to be a lot alike.
[They will actually lead Nico over to the college library. Once inside, they head towards a section near the back of nonfiction, where very few people seem to go. Way back in a corner, tucked between some shelves, is a small nook with one of those library benches. Not very comfortable, but it suits its purpose. There is also a table and chairs a couple shelves away.]
Nobody ever comes back here, so I can grab whatever book I want and sit here for hours undisturbed.
True. Camp's a little bit away from the city but I've been enough times that this is familiar enough to me, too. If a little smaller.

I've always been drawn to libraries. It's nice to get absorbed into stories of different times and places.

There are a lot of libraries in the city, but I haven't been to many of them. I have friends who are pretty big readers though so sometimes I'll borrow their books or ask for recommendations.

But yeah, camp. It's a summer camp, but some people live there year-round. I just happen to be one of them.
It's a place for people like us to stay if we don't have other homes, or if we come from families that we can't stay with full time or anything. Or even those of us who just want to stay to keep training.
It's home. [ it's the first thing he says, more out of instinct but in a way that says he firmly believes this is a good thing. ] It wasn't easy at first. I didn't stay for a long time. Back then, I...didn't feel like I belonged there. But eventually things got better. I met people who made me realize otherwise after a lot of arguing.
[ haha. but...he grins a little. ]
It's important for me to get back there. And keep our world safe.
Yeah, I think so, too. But I also think that as long as you have people who make you feel that way you can be pretty much anywhere. [ ... ] Was the place you were before a place you felt safe?
...can I ask why that might be? [ mostly he sounds concerned because that...seems very unpleasant. and a good way to be demotivated to fight for your own home. ]
[ he does not like that he's not able to sense these things anymore, so unfortunately for tiger nico's staring at them for a moment as if that'll help. ]
Death is a constant in every world. You can live a long life, but eventually you will meet it head-on. And oftentimes it's my face people see in their last moments.

That's what this costume is for, to keep people from being scared of me on sight.
