I think that's the truth of everything: no matter the group, there will always be disagreements. And I would say you're doing better than some of the teams here.
foxes are probably doing the best but there are some teams i've heard that're hit and miss ...with everything going on i think a lot of people are feeling a way about things teams are going to be up and down
I think Fox is attached to their team too. Ox and Mouse as well. It's harder to tell with the others since they're less open about their emotions though.
I can only speak from my personal experiences, which are far from common to most people.
But in my past, information was kept secret. The Boss always kept his cards close to his heart so that those being sent to their deaths didn't know until the last moment.
Being that we're supposed to be heroes, I would think it best not to take those actions.
Also, teams act as one. You win and lose as a group. It's unwise to keep information from the people who are going to get you home.
"supposed to be" i don't think many of us feel like heroes right now i know i don't. not the way it should be but i get what you're saying here's the other thing if we all want to make it home isn't there a way to change things so that teams can...i don't know merge create a new team something like that? if we're all going to win and lose as a group well...everything's unbalanced now
I know. There's plenty of people making choices that aren't very heroic. But if someone like me can at least try to do the heroic thing, then I think everyone else will be fine in the end.
[Despite everything, they want to believe that.]
That would be a handy way around the 'only one team can win' rule. It depends on if we can find a way to do it though. Right now nobody can switch, I'm sure of that.
[ as far as he knows tiger hasn't gone around murdering people here, so so far they're doing better than some other people he can name. ]
but i get it. it's the trying aspect i'm a little worried about, if people suddenly decide not to try the competition part of all of this is new right? what was happening when it was just the original twelve of you who were drawn here?
[Too bad this isn't memshare week and Nico can't just see why Tiger hates themself so much! Find out next week, because Tiger sure won't talk about it.]
With the original 12 of us it wasn't even a competition. We were just here, and we were told to use our powers for good. Others chose the hero route first, and I didn't want to go against the group so I joined in.
did you ever actually find out what that meant? why you were chosen, what doing "good" meant, all of that the notes made it sound like there was a reason and 12 people weren't enough but i guess...i'm trying to understand why oceanside needed outside help you wouldn't have chosen the hero route on your own?
To be honest I never really thought about it. Maybe 12 wasn't enough for teams? And I probably wouldn't have gotten into this hero stuff without the others asking me to go along with it. It's not something I've ever done before. Saving lives seemed like a nice change from taking them though.
i think i just don't understand why teams are necessary why the competition was necessary who's really doing this the notes all of it it kind of seems like a distraction for someone's bigger plan but i suppose that's fair enough. sometimes you end up working with people whether you want to or not and you have to learn to adapt i get that
It's very likely that you're right and this whole competition is a sham and whoever behind all of this has bigger plans. I am certain of it. But I'm not sure what else we can do besides seeing it to the end and finding out what they plan on doing. It's hard to make the first move against an enemy who can act without you seeing or hearing them, and it's likely the pages were written a while ago if we're finding pieces of them.
okay then...literally why do we have to go through with the whole every team killing part of it? i know you've heard about the note i don't like the idea of playing right into their hands just because we don't know yet there has to be something else we can look into to strike first how long ago is a while ago, even? and why do we keep finding them in the weirdest places?
I can't say for sure yet, not without testing something first. But until confirmed otherwise, it would be best to continue to follow the papers.
The 'A while ago' has to be at least seven months ago though, if not longer. Some of these pages involve the 12 of us who arrived first, so they had to be written before we were even here.
Other pages sound like things written later, though. "12 wasn't enough" sounds like it was written after the 12 of us arrived. Probably after a few things were tested.
and what kind of testing are you even thinking of? that's enough of a timeline. i had figured some of these were spread throughout the time you were here, especially the newspaper clippings, but then it just gets confusing to build the correct timeline and what sounds like someone's diary what other tests were there?
I don't want to say in case I am wrong. I would feel awful for giving you false hope. But if you ever find a page like the ones we have been getting that is blank, bring it to me right away.
This person was looking for something specific, or at least I can guess so from their notes. I think the 12 of us were like a test run of sorts. And that things this person didn't like, they changed when the rest of you arrived. From some of these notes it sounds like there's going to be more 'competitions' like this if we don't stop them from happening, but there was nobody else here from other worlds when we arrived. We have to be the first and second groups.
no offense tiger but i would rather have an idea than care about hope right now because i don't exactly feel comfortable with all of us being the ones who have to do this while you might be testing things that we don't even know about that's about what i figured from the notes, yes if we're the first and second groups, then who are some of the people who were already here when we got here? like the ones we've talked to on the streets and everything just people who lived here already? is oceanside even a real place? you can see where all of these questions are coming from
[It is a good 15 minutes before Tiger messages back.]
It's something extremely specific to my world, which is why I don't know if it can help us. Even speaking about this specific thing puts my entire world at risk of being erased. If I end up sharing this information and it doesn't matter here then it will still put my world at risk. Please understand, there's a very good reason why I'm being cautious with this.
With that said, if I'm going to tell you about this, I want to talk in person so there's no written record of it. And you can't tell a single person until it's proven or disproven. Not even the other leaders. They don't know about this. I'm serious. I'm supposed to kill anyone who finds out about this.
[ hm. he reads all of this and he takes a little to debate himself.
on the one hand, it's specific and it might not even work in the first place. nico's been busy trying to get his own powers back, and so far no luck which is even more annoying than usual. second all, he has no idea why it would put tiger's world at risk if the world is already frozen, but he assumes there is a decent reason.
third, well, yes he is a little curious and he can understand not wanting it in writing. he can't say he entirely enjoys the idea of dying for someone's secret (someone he doesn't know that well, at least) but again he can sort of understand. he doesn't make a decision yet, and instead asks a question. ]
just tell me something first is this something dangerous to everyone else here?
If it isn't involved in what's going on here, then no. If it is, then possibly. That's why I have been trying to confirm if it is being used here or not.
