Well, there's a rock band rehearsing for a show later this week! And then I think a troupe is coming to rehearse a musical starting next week. We do all kinds of shows here.

If they do post rankings, I don't think it will take that long, with the competition only lasting until the festival. Maybe wait a week or two and see? If nothing happens, we could always see if the mayor has some information on the rankings.

Now that would be a lot more difficult. Not impossible, maybe, but we can't guarantee that when we don't even know what the metric is for the rankings.
Yeah. It'll be a little easier to make adjustments once we see how the rankings shake out - we can compare what we did and didn't do and kind of get an idea that way of what would need to be done to catch people up...
But without concrete knowledge about it it'd be way too easy for someone to break the tie by accident.
You seem to have a good head on your shoulders. Don't lose sight of what you're aiming for, keep your eyes open for all that can go wrong, and I think you'll do just fine.
