I've been all over the U.S. with my mom - she took me on tour with her a lot when I was a kid. I haven't really been outside the country much, though, so I couldn't really speak to how robust public transportation is in other places.
But it's really bad in some places in the U.S. - if you don't have a car you're not getting anywhere.
I heard Seattle's where the Amazons are these days.
Like, the company? Amazon? It's a front. Like yeah, they ship a bunch of stuff out and they're very efficient, but it's how they fund their kingdom of warrior women.
[what kind of random shit do you put in your coffee, kyoko? :) ]
Not exactly. A lot of people didn't even know they were there until recently - they just kind of keep to themselves and do their stuff behind the scenes. [a beat.] Some people pass through there sometimes for quests.
...yeah, sorry. You're right. It's just - [...he shrugs.] It'd be nice to have a power that was useful without other people getting hurt, is all.
Overall it's gonna be way better if no one ever needs me to use my power, 'cause that'll mean they didn't get injured in the first place. But then it'd feel like I wasn't really pulling my weight.

I haven't really traveled internationally either. I'm usually busy where I was before coming here.

[good enough to attract apollo's attention, anyway. he smiles.]
Where would you go if you could travel anywhere you wanted?

Seattle seems like an interesting city.

Or, uh. Queendom, I guess?

Do you have an agreement with the Amazons or is it their territory and everyone else stays out?

Quests?
no subject
Yeah. I guess you'd say it's my world's equivalent of hero stuff?

...but that's gonna be important too, I think. So I'll do my best. But I get the feeling we all will.

[ This game is not oops all healers. ]
I also believe that.

We hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

[this is all going to be so funny when someone is fucking dead on friday]

Did you want to try driving?
no subject
[time for them to switch seats?]
no subject
You'll want to go much slower than I did. You only use one foot for both the gas and the brakes.
no subject
Alright... [he will. push down on the gas tentatively. the car lurches forward.]

but since trial is tomorrow we can probably just assume he didn't crash anything and they went their separate ways eventually]
