Yeah, we did! In ours— it was me, Ryuki, and Rita— we went through one of Danny's past experiences. But that can't be the same for everybody, right? Like Nico's "adventure" [ finger quotes ] was some sort of ... curry heist.

Again, I've never gone on a curry heist. Also, I wouldn't want to.

Did you ever go on one of those memory trips? You get brainwashed, kill your friends, and come home with that piece of paper.

I haven't seen her once since we've been here.

[ He's putting the mask back on. ]

We did go on a memory trip, but none of that happened for us. We just had to win an acting competition. Is that seriously what you went through?

[ This is SO much worse than his. ]

[ He makes a face, because that's so unfair. Acting is easy. He acts every day. ]

Yeah. Others had it worse. Did you win?

[ Not when you're trying to recite your lines and write and also make sure your troupemate doesn't kidnap your director. ]

In that trip? Nothing.

At home it let us keep our troupe together, we were in crushing debt and without a win we would've definitely gone under.

Why not just open up a curry restaurant...

It's the director's father's theater company, so she really didn't want to see it go under while she could still do something about it.

[ Family business, then... sounds complicated. ]

Good thing you won, then. I'm guessing you guys never found out who's behind all of that. Maybe it's a group, unless somebody has the powers of one, four, and five.

[ Since Every Other thing seems to be moon related in this city. ]

[ He nods at "one, four, and five" like yea that's self explanatory, he doesn't need to say anything ]

I don't know what those numbers mean.

Before you guys got here, it was on a really normal cycle. We had a full moon every month. It dropped out of the sky and shot lasers, the guy in white showed up around the same time.

After the attack, it's been in a moon phase for a whole week. I don't really know what to make of it.

They're seat numbers. I'm Seven.

[ it doesn't matter what they mean, they're not here and therefore are irrelevant ]

Each lunar phase typically lasts a little over seven days, but it's a gradual shift from one phase to the next. This week [ week 4 ] it's a waxing crescent. Next week will be the first quarter, then waxing gibbous, and then it's the full moon. Something big is going to happen then, isn't it?
