I don't mind it. It's like any other weapon - dangerous, but usable as long as you know how to handle it. And the powers I've shared with all of you are useful in other ways. It's a good balance, if I do say so myself.
I just think it's best to have a balanced skillset, rather than put everything into one facet of yourself. You can find yourself with more weapons that way.
[Why can't people in this city have jobs and experiences that, like...make sense, she wonders. It all was fine until they said their job is to protect history.
What does it even mean?]
Saving books of history or something?
[Maybe Crimson Phoenix is just a very intense historian, who knows!]
Well, most humans should never be aware of issues with the timelines in the first place, so I suppose it doesn't matter if it makes sense.
Not just anyone, no, but we don't know much about the leader of the group we usually find trying to change history. It's very possible that someone is telling them where to go, and they're just following orders, just as I am when I have to fight someone interfering with history.
I trust my comrades back home to be able to go on without me. It wouldn't be easy, of course, but every time we go on a mission, we all must accept the possibility that we won't return.

[......
...oh, right]
Before you had the fire and tears one?
[It's a little hard to imagine Crimson Phoenix with anything different to their Phoenix team powers, truthfully]

[Even if you have to cry on wounds, wow, that still is something she's not used to]

[Not that she disagrees, but it's hard not to notice Crimson Phoenix seems to really aim for that so much.
Hey, are Amethyst Snake's powers balanced, red chief?]

[Sigrun leans against the wall, like she's getting comfortable to listen to Phoenix talk about their experiences]

Is there anything you want to know?
no subject
[Sounds like a good place to start! You can tell a lot from what profession the person you're talking to went into!]

But mostly, my job is protect history.

[Then again, what does, around here. Sigrun wishes she was back in her horrible apocalyptic world.
Still, her interest is piqued, that's for sure]
What kind of people try to change history? It's not like anyone can go and do that, right?
[It sounds like it'd be such a mess]

[How much do you trust on your comrades' ability to hold the fort if you're erased like a certain moon is threatening to do, chief?]
no subject
[ simply, and without any sign of distress. ]

[Yeah, no wonder why she's fond of Crimson Phoenix, they really understand things the same way as her]
No wonder you were so confident around here from day 1. You're used to teams and tough times.

I am, I am. Seems like we have that in common.
I work best in a team, anyway.
