[ It's hard to say what's out on the Lake of Dreams, the sunlight is really creating a glare. There are definitely people out there... Hans is pretty sure there's people out there.
There's a few people chatting about the show tonight and how they're so excited to hear the orchestra. Somebody else is complaining about how early they need to be to the airport tomorrow. ]
[Can he do a quick jaunt out to the lake to see if these are like, people or statues or trees or furries or what -- he's also kind of curious to see why it's called the Lake of Dreams, really, but he won't tourist too much on limited time. His sweep will end at the nightclub in that direction, anyway.
He'll do the same double-checks for security and map areas once he's out there, along with keeping a weather eye on the crowd.
It's kind of nice getting some fresh air, too, considering how crowded it is indoors. Even the Vegas sun is probably a bit more bearable lakeside.]
[Well......... he's going to check out a few of the statues to see if there's anything fun or unusual about them, like, is one pointing mysteriously at a hidden door or who-knows-what -- it's a cover for getting closer to the otter, but due to luck curse his tail gets tangled with a statue somehow and he gets stuck there for a couple minutes. Yay.
This is what he gets for being vain (furry).
His next move would be to shimmy away and peek through the nightclub bars inconspicuously to blend back into the crowd, but we'll see if the otter yeets first.]
[It is an extremely bizarre sequence of events to see an otter in a Hawaiian shirt attempt to swim and then somehow get stuck in a raccoon trap in a pool meant for swimming. What is the hotel doing to its supposed tourists. Hans just sort of stares in bemusement for a moment before...... scratching his head and looking around as though to say, day in the Vegas life??
He's going to stroll over to peek at the nightclub to see if there's anything unusual there, but keep half an eye on the otter in the trap to see if anyone else actually reacts.
[ The otter is trying to get out of the trap, but is having very little luck himself. Poor guy.
The nightclub looks fancy. But perhaps all nightclubs on the strip look fancy. Peering through doesn't seem to reveal the treasure he's currently after. ]
[Rest in pieces, otter, at least you know how to swim even if you're stuck in the water.
Now that he knows there's these weird raccoon traps about, Hans will keep a weather eye out for that and any other unusual traps that may be hidden around the property. Well, hidden is relative because there's just a trapped otter out in the open now, but still -- surely they'll be able to avoid these now that an example has been made. (Alas, he doesn't know Whisper and the otter are cage twins at the moment.)
Come to think of it, before he leaves the lake -- are there any stray sticks around here he can pick up? Like, walking stick length if possible, otherwise anything that gives a good grip and reach. If possible, he'll use that to probe for traps as he shuffles around.
If there's nothing else that stands out at the lake, though, he'll head towards the Wynn casino floor.]
[Sweet, he now has a stick, which he twirls a bit because it makes him a fancy catte. Much to the probable chagrin of people trying to get places, but at least he only does that while he's outside.
Once he gets over to the casino -- well, Hans is feeling lucky, so he's going to peek around to see if there's any stray tokens on the floor or lying around that he can use on the machines to blend in to the gamblers.
If not, he'll just stroll through with the crowd to observe the security guard routes and the behavior of both gamblers and people passing by. Anyone look like they're gambling or moving in a group? Anybody stick out?]
[He'll poke at a slot machine because it doesn't require much brainpower, makes him look busy and allows him to eavesdrop on things around him.
Any interesting gossip amongst the guests or the guards? He'll also peek to see if there might be anything of interest going on at the places around the casino floor -- lounge and sandwich place and bars and whatnot, if he has a good vantage point here.
He won't spend too long here, but this is pretty much his last big stop before the rendezvous, so he's hoping to get something out of it.]
[......... hey, at least they finally have money, even if it's debatable what they'd be using it for??? Maybe they can bribe a guard eventually or. Something.
He'll cheerfully cash out and then do a quick sweep up to the bars by the casino floor, as well as the cafe. I think Red 8 is a restaurant, so he'll peek over there too on his circuit. In the midst of all this, can he look at somebody's phone or watch to check the time, wouldn't want to be late.
