but it's fine. he's grabbing another plate and moving along the line, putting food on said-plate and eventually weaving through the crowd to get to a table. is it possible to get a table nearby where they're having their meal? likewise, is it possible at all to pick up on what they may be talking about? even if he can't hear words can he read their facial expressions and general tone?
he is debating his life choices as he takes a sip of orange juice and shoves a strip of bacon in his mouth. i don't know why it's a breakfast buffet now, it just is. he vaguely wonders how the other two are doing.]
He can't get a table directly next to the pair, but he can get close enough. The red panda looks politely enthused and the giraffe seems hype about... something?

i don't know if an 11 is at all any use for trying to really hone in and listen without him being obvious, but at least he's not directly staring at them. instead, he is glancing at his watch to check the time while he's hoping for an idea of what they're talking about. ]

so since there is time, can he access the sunset terrace/cabana bar and casino to see if there's anything unusual up there? on the way, he's also keeping an eye out for any sort of lead whether that's a suspicious person, a group of people moving in a certain direction, or hearing something. ]
They will assume Nico is staying here and will be charging this to his room. Nobody will be going after him to pay for his barely eaten buffet food.
There's a lot of people over in the sunset terrace/cabana bar, but they don't really seem to be suspicious. Somebody is talking about golf. Somebody else is excited for a baseball game tomorrow. ]
[ it is truly asking a lot of him to care enough to focus and not get frustrated this is taking a while, but it's fine. he has an iota of patience. if nothing seems to be interesting up on the terrace/cabana, he'll head out to explore in the area north of there (the petrus, palmer, etc.) ]
[ cool! actually maybe the cabana was better! with a 13, is it possible to dodge without getting hit while checking how this trap is set up? is there anything else very obviously set up by these rooms? how easy is it to disable the trap. ]
