The first impression you get upon entering this dorm is dramatic. The seats look nice, but one might assume they lack comfort in exchange... until they sit, and discover that the seats are far softer and more pleasant than they look.

Residents may use their ID card at the elevator to reach the second floor, where the lounge greets you with plenty of seating and plush, red cushions and blankets for comfort. There is no television or electronics beyond the lighting, so you'll have to find another way to entertain yourselves. Ornate red dividers and sliding doors separate this area from the kitchen which, despite being well-stocked with all the staples, appears to be mostly unused. But there is a nice supply of alcohol, if you know where to look.

Surrounding the kitchen and lounge are the bedrooms, set into two main halls around the central area. Each room is furnished with a queen-sized bed and side tables. Soft red sheets and wall art bring color to the space, while painted shelves and a closet with sliding doors provide storage. There is only one bathroom per hall, however, so you'll need to learn to share. They are, at least, fully stocked with toiletries and soap smelling of sandalwood.

Heading up to the third floor, you'll find the dorm's private room.

The fourth floor is locked.

As they enter the dorm for the first time, heroes will find they have a new notification from the AMAZOOM app:

The third floor is a training hall. Much of the floor is a wide, open space, but training dummies are set to one of the room and may be rearranged as you wish.

The walls are lined with practice weapons of all sorts - only practice weapons, nothing that can be used to fatally injure each other - from bladed or melee weapons to ranged weapons with foam projectiles. They are free to take to and from the space. Those who frequent the area are merely asked to be respectful of their fellow dorm mates who may be wanting to practice.

Please be sure to keep this room a secret from the other teams! You can invite others over to visit, but do not let them into the private room or describe it for them.

... For a list, we do have the foxes, the rabbits, and Albedo because it's safe—Tama... Would understand.

Foxes are likely to drop to possibly two or even be wiped out if they're unlucky, same for rabbits, or us.

As for Danny...he knows about the kill condition, I told him last night. If he thinks it's our team he might stay quiet to help me.

[ it's a vague, uncertain thought but a thought nevertheless. ]

...I don't like the idea of leaving Tama alone, but at the same time if she is, it's very unlikely anyone will go after her. Nobody wants to teamwipe, plus there's still Ryuki. You can't take one out without taking the other, and I very much doubt anyone will think about it. I can look through my inventory of stuff, too, and see what might be useful. We'll just have to watch out for Albedo's power, but...maybe he'll also understand if we get the chance to explain it to him.

He might... he seems like a rational guy. At the same time, we should be prepared if he wants to fight for his life that night... So we give him the chance to make it as easy as possible.

[ tilting her head, she's gonna just ignore the stupid comic panel effect of the week making a good show of things. she waits for the smell of ocean water to fade for the last time before just shaking her head. ]

Earlier that day, you remember you and your family preparing for dinner... It was a mishmash of cuisine because despite your parents being married and in love, they have trouble eating each other's cuisine. That was fine—they still happily ate at the table every night, enjoying their food with each other's company. Fortunately, for you, you like both sauerkraut and kimchi. At least your family tries to learn new recipes all of you can eat.

Mundane days of peace are interrupted by the alarm you never thought would sound. Before your eyes, your life changes in the matter of minutes. Fire, screams, and slaughter—it's everywhere. You don't see all of it quite yet, but you will after you watch someone take your mother's eyes from her sockets. She was still breathing... Screaming in pain while your father lied motionless on the floor beside her. Hidden in the cabinet, you witness the scene through crack. Is it for the best you couldn't see it all? Or is it more haunting you're limited? Helpless?

"Hey! Handle the goods with care. Those eyes cost more than your life," said one of the armed assailants.

And the next thing you hear is a gunshot, a thud. Dispensed into a cylinder are two glowing pink eyes... You can see them shine in the clear fluid, they stare back at you.

"How does this even work?"

"You have to get them fresh while the Lily is alive or else the buyer won't be able to use the hypnotism ability."

"Freaky. Want to loot the house while we're here? Not that we'll find a lot here."

"Ugh. No. You can do that on your own, but don't waste too much time."

Footsteps divide, but one set approaches, and you steel yourself. What fear you found running through your small body bundles and festers, burning white hot into rage and hatred. When they open the door to the cupboard, your gazes lock. It only takes one command, one pained and righteous order.

Kill your team and then yourself.

You stay in your cupboard, closing the door, as you hear those footsteps leave you, disappearing out the door. A volley of gunfire follows. Here you think about what you'll do now... You have to retrieve your family's eyes back. You decide after you see the blanket of corpses out your door—spawncampers, kind humans, and demiflora—that you won't get close. You won't care if people end up hating you for doing what you have to do for your goals. You won't care if they think you hate them. It would be better. You're sure.

It would be a lonely trek, but it would be better than the heartache. He won't need to cry for anyone else when they leave, then no one will cry for him when he meets his grave.

He ignores it. ]

We're really doing this. No backing down.

[ by the gods he fucking hates this house. why are you both this way? holy shit he can't really ignore either of these? the thing about it is that he knew both of these facts (jolyne being dead, lillium's family being dead) but knowing and seeing are two different things and he looks like he's about to protest. ]

But-- [ he doesn't really get to though because panels appear and he hates this house even more actually.

why are they all really just like this? absolutely full of spiders in the form of death and blood and ghosts that follow them at their heels. is that what a phoenix does? rise - and at what cost? she holds her breath for the length of the memory turning its pages before her eyes and by the end of it she's just lowering her head for a long moment.

[ anyway he fucking jumps a little because he wasn't expecting phoenix to speak up, and he's looking at all three of them with a little bit of indignation and also wariness. ]

Hearing you say that feels very pointed and ominous, Phoenix. [ like damn you're right but also did you have to say it? ] If I'm not coming with, then what am I supposed to do?

[ he's not great at being idle is the thing, but even his posture seems a little strung out like he's not exactly hard to convince, for once. while also being worried about the other two? gods everything sucks. ]

Having Ace's print could be handy here for a false read. I don't think Kuruto will handle the kit because it's ours, so you can be in charge of that.

You mean like frame it so that any prints left behind won't come back as a match. I don't mind holding onto it. [ does not love that it's ace's print, but it's fine. ] Might not be a terrible idea to use gloves anyway though just to be careful.
