Also, if there is a small group of people under the most suspicion- five or less is good for this- redo any checks they made, and don't allow them to make further checks.
Finally, keep track of who is close to who. If Ryuki were in that "most suspicious" group, for example, I would not trust you for unbiased opinions or checks.

that’s… not a narrow list. there’s a whole group of people who experienced the ride or die wonders of jail together. [ and, well. she cares about a lot of those people too. ]
it’s going to be that balance of knowing something will hurt, and knowing it’s wrong, but knowing the alternative is worse. this isn’t a popularity contest. it’s the law.
trying to save someone who shouldn’t have died would be a pretty impressive bonding moment. at the very least, it gives you an idea of who shares similar values to you.
