Well, while I'm here, I might as well ask. About the moon drop--do you know anything about this "guy in white" who was there? And what his connection to the moon is supposed to be?
If I partially transform- like how I usually use the claws as weapons but keep the rest of my body human- then I do. But if it's a full transformation then I don't.
[Hearing the word 'book' does get them to pause for a moment. Just long enough to tell that they know Something. But after a moment, it passes and he speaks again.]
Nothing specifically from that time, just that we got a page afterwards that said some concerning things. And then when the rest of you arrived, more pages have been found.
This time the world will gain 35 new heroes. They shall be sorted into teams and made to compete for the chance of returning back to where they came from. Once they arrive, they'll be granted eight weeks of competition."
That was the one we got. That's how we knew you would be coming eventually.
Come to think of it...it's weird that they tried doing this with just the 12 of you at first, isn't it? Because apparently this competition has been happening for multiple cycles. Wouldn't they have already known that 12 wouldn't be enough?
You're not that good of a liar, Tiger. It's already widespread knowledge that wiped out teams become powerless civilians here, and Snake themself said a good portion of the people here were likely from previous cycles.
Beyond the depressing and rather crushing realization that the sick game we're stuck in may have been going on for countless years, and if nobody else has managed to escape then what chance do we stand?
Where was this urgency when I was asking you for ways to protect us from a team wipe last week?
[ rubs his temples ]
The points are based off of collective heroic actions from the team, right? What about the Wednesday events, or the Thursday trips? Or the murders? Do you have any insight on how the points get calculated? Then we could game the system.
I'm not the one who made up the points in the first place, but if I had to guess then you would be right about all of those things counting. They all follow the rules laid out for us, after all.
That said, I would dissuade you from murder. Looking at how things are going, you would be caught.
[ grimaces ] ...I know. The only thing staying my hands right now is knowing that most of the tricks I have saved up will get leaked by that stupid anonymous tipper. I might still have enough up my sleeve to manage it, but...
...I can't tell what would be worse: dying here, or losing.
I was ready to help my team accomplish all of those rules. But one murdered and got himself voted out, one got voted out despite being innocent, and one doesn't even talk to me. And as much as I would love to help you get away with murder, any help I give likely won't be enough here. If they even slightly suspect you, it's over.
So...we wait and see what happens to the people left alive who didn't win. Last time, with the 12 of us, all of us just stayed here. Maybe that will happen again and we'll get a second chance at getting out.

[They will move away from that topic for now though!]
Is there something you needed?

Then why did Snake tell me to ask you about it...?
What about a book? Remember anything about that?

...on our trips, right.
What was on the page that you got after the fight?

[Again, it sounds like they might know Something possibly but they aren't saying it.]

Well that's what the notes we were given say, but I don't know if it's true or not.

I know the answer for myself. I have a whole world counting on me to return. I can't go back on the promise I made.

...if you're so set on returning and fulfilling your promise, then what are you actually doing about it?

[ staying here longer, getting a second chance...he'll do it, but if he can get out and regain his powers sooner, then he'll jump at the chance. ]
