Did ya expect all the good ol' villains to sit down an' let themselves get killed off? Fighting and killing's what I do.
[He makes a flick of his wrist that, while it's empty because he doesn't have equipment on him, is recognizable as a movement with which he'd twirl his knife.
That stuff's engrained in his bones.]
Since I'm already testin' out for you guys what happens if ya get the wrong villain, I'm thinkin' I'll test out what happens if the villain wins fer once.
[They don't know everything that happened, but they believe Hans' words at trial.]
A life of fighting and killing, only to get executed for a crime you didn't commit? It's a joke. And it's a no-win situation for you too, even if you do win tomorrow a target is going to be placed on your back.
Can't say I mind if people wanna throw some words around. Hero an' villain an' Brave and fake and all. Just means they got blind spots where you can take 'em.
[Catte is perfectly happy being morally grey and does not care what people call him, on the whole. He's just here to vibe and do his job, most of the time.
Of course, cornering a cat is always an action with consequences.]
Ain't the first time I've been accused of a bunch o' things that have got nothin' to do with me. 'Sides, target or not, it's only a no-win if ya die. They can keep tryin' to kill me if they want.
Nyahaha! Can't say I've ever had any interest in gettin' meowcy killed, ever, 'cause I'd rather people try an' stab me in the back than be that boring, ya know?
Though, yer awfully confident, which just makes me wanna see an' fight ya properly.
[Unfortunately, at the end of the day, he is Like This when it comes to meowtters of life and death and copious stabbing.]
Now why do ya have to go an' tempt me at the eleventh hour like this? Killin' the unkillable's gotta be cheating. Meow. Meow.
[That last meow rings, intrigue and bloodlust and and his fingers flexing, claw-like, around a knife that's not there just now.
But he's thinking about it.]
Takin' out my own team's boss seems like a bad move, though, no matter how crazy things get. [he sure is just saying this] Lemme take a raincheck, but I ain't going to forget that possibility.
I don't typically get into erroneous fights- I don't like the pain from getting hurt- but I can make an exception for a teammate. I want to be a good leader, after all, and that means providing for my teammates.
Nyahaha... Ain't too often that one happens. With people, anyway.
[Tilt of the head, curious, assessing, though this one is less bloodlust and more plain cat-seeing-new-moving object.]
Wouldn't call it givin' up, though, bein' a cat. It's a way to live, just ain't a way that goes along with leadin' or meowving with others. [he knows what White Tiger means but he's still going to say his piece] Seems to me there's gotta be teammates to lead before a leader's a thing, anyway.
So ya should add a few more cats to the dorm. Place's awful big just for a handful.
There might not be any of those left before too long either. It makes me wonder what becomes of the leader when there's nobody left to lead.
[Maybe something nice would happen, like they would get to join another team and not have to be a leader anymore. They would like that.]
I think I can add a few more cats though, at least for now.
[But this is going to be their last conversation, and Hans has honestly been the nicest to them out of everyone here, so they decide to send them off with a final treat of sorts.]
[So he pulls off his hood and remove his glasses, looking at Hans with ghostly yellow eyes.
Without those adornments it becomes clear how thin and pale this guy is- even his hair is a shade of white- but what's most noteworthy is that he has an air of death to him. Not a killing aura, exactly, but more like death follows him wherever he goes. It's like staring the reaper head-on, but instead of an intimidating man in robes it's just a shy teenage boy.
Tiger closes his eyes and bows his head to Hans.]
I'm grateful to have worked with you, Hans. I wish this wasn't goodbye.
Meow, that's one thing ya don't wanna give up on, though. Ain't a good thing not to have a team anymore.
[It's a bit convoluted to explain, and so far they don't know the veracity or the full ramifications of that little snippet of maybe-knowledge, but Hans puts that out there anyway. Overall, White Tiger dorm has been a relaxing place to stop over and he'd really rather not have it be the guinea pig in this way.
There's a nod, though, because more cats probably means at least all the stuff in the place gets more use; and then a raise of the eyebrow as yellow eyes meet yellow. It's an interesting experience, seeing the aura of a reaper before tomorrow, but he's the type to take intrigue before fear.]
Don't think I'll be sayin' goodbye, if it's all the same. But bein' a Tiger's not too bad -- ya still got good taste in animals, anyway. What was yer name?
[The reaction impresses him. Most people cower in fear when they see his eyes.]
I've had a few names through my life, but the only one I particularly liked is one I can't really share here. I haven't really been living up to it's meaning lately.
[He's been anything but kind for a long, long time now.]
'White Tiger' is an acceptable name though, until I feel like I can use my chosen name once again.
And it does work for me, yes. My power of 'transformation' actually lets me turn into a white tiger. I would show you, but I can't use my power here in the jail.
Better have it written down somewhere 'fore ya lose track of it, if ya got so meowny names goin' already.
[You do not look old enough to have this many monikers, is what Hans would say if he were normal, but he is not. Therefore.]
Transformation an' Time, was it? Too bad I can't see that tiger yet, but meowbe I'll make that a request later at the raincheck. [later!! when he wins!! in the meantime he's popped up closer to the bars with the whole reveal thing, peering as though to try and picture this skinny fellow as a proper tiger] That why ya got such a fondness fer cats too?
Didn't need even meowre motivation fer that one, but I'll take it.
[Hung does not deserve this amount of ulcers over catte nicknames.
But alas, there's a feline conspiracy afoot. Hans thinks over the cat conundrum for perhaps longer than he really needs to.]
Cats got good instincts, but I'm findin' it depends on where yer at. Some places the cats're more welcomin', some places they ain't gonna give ya the time o' day.
These ones ain't bad at the training thing.
[Well, that and he is probably much harder to recognize as a cat. Though, judging by the lack of scratches despite all his cat interaction, maybe he's halfway there.]
[The life of an assassin is a scar-strewn one either way, but yeah, this is probably one for the books.]
Meow, ya raised 'em right.
[Hans perks right up because aren't cats weapons by default getting some kitty-time recharge before tomorrow is totally better than all the people visits in the world (exaggeration) (probably).]
--If ya can swing it, I wouldn't mind seein' at least one.

You know, I was coming here to offer to be your executioner and make it quick tomorrow. But I get the feeling you wouldn't want a mercy kill.

Far be it from me to tell you how to die, but the option is there if you would like me to be your reaper.

[He has not forgotten the other day with Mouse.]
Though, I'm just a cat doin' what I want, anyway -- wouldn't know what all makes a good leader or anythin', 'specially in a place like this.

[Hello there, fellow assassin.]
I think I should give up and just be a cat too. I want to be a good leader, but I think that's a foregone conclusion at this point.
Any last requests?

So ya picked yours too, then? Gotta be somethin' pretty specific if ya can't use it while travelin'.
