[ Giving a nod of their head to agree with that. Before giving a huff as they paw at some of the mess. Messy.
They then look at the hovering and tilt their head in that sideways thing dogs do. Lowering their body to pay at the space under him before huffing again.
Black Dragon whines a little in response to the words. Before spinning around once and sitting down again. Bork! Lifting a limb to tap at the space in front of them and then nodding their head in another direction. Bork! ]
[He really does not speak dog-dragon language but it's fine, Hans is used to just talking at cats and having cats ignore him so deciphering this is actually pretty entertaining on its own.
The flattened hairball flips over a little bit because it, too, is hovering occasionally. There's other things in the area including debris and whatever's in the shop and cubicles that's just sort of floating around and hitting things but it's fine!!]
Judgin' by yer profiles, ya gotta be those missin' four team members they kept talking about back on the other side. Didn't think I'd be runnin' into any of ya.
[He flips upside down trying to look in the direction dragon-dog is indicating.]
[ Their tail wags at that and they give a confirmation bark!
Then they will come over and paw at Hans' arm and then look in the direction. They will start to pad off in that direction. Pausing to look at Hans and then barking again. Follow! ]
[He's going to give the hair-no-longer-ball a final pat and tuck it under I don't know a desk or something so it doesn't float away forever. And then he'll drop to all fours and sort of moonsault over towards where Black Dragon is going.]
Nyahihi... Do y'all have dorms over here too?
Don't seem to me like the building likes us leavin', though.
[So it's probably not a dorm, but. Lead on, dragon-dog.]
[ Maybe if he leaves it there long enough it'll gain sentience.
The Dragon-dog will lead him around the cubicles before finally stopping at one. Just going to use their paws to open up a drawer to pull out a bunch of paper. They will then dig through the paper. Hans may be able to see one that says omega three fatty acids written at the top.
Omeowga three fatty acids... Pretty weird note cards ya got there.
[I don't think he knows what omega three fatty acids are........... closes eyes at Rokka vs. science.
Also wow the hairballs are already sentient, the one back there may be Dead™ though. F.
Anyways Hans settles down now that they can have some kind of flashcard conversation. He still tends to leave the floor every once in a while but at least he's sort of localizing it so Black Dragon's notes don't start flying away.]
What else ya got in there?
[He's curious to see if this is their personal conversation cards or just really random cubicle cards--]
[ Dragon barks and then points to the Omega Three Fatty Acids and backs again. Apparently this is very important. Then they shuffle through the cards to show each one!
One is... sardines, another is vitamins. balance diet no maybe moon good bad ocean mercury poisoning.
They then sit down and wag their tail. Did they do good? ]
... Do ya really like eatin' fish or somethin'? Meow too.
[Same cat? Same cat!!! But like, dog. Dragon-dog.
Hans just has to get that one out of the way before looking through the rest -- he has no idea what mercury poisoning is either probably. RIP. He does pause on the moon card.]
Don't tell me that crazy meowin' moon's gonna be a problem here too?
Dragon is going to huff and look off in a direction. Likely where the other leads could be or maybe they are seeing something no one else does in that way animals do. Then they will pat at the moon again and start to growl.
Dunno why else ya'd be talkin' about fish that much in a place like this, meow.
[One of these days the ragtag newspaper not-team will get the scoop about dragon-dog's dietary habits and mercury levels.
Today, though, Hans glances off in that direction as well and probably sees nothing before peering back at the notecard.]
Bad seems like a bit of an understatement, yeah? We been finding all these threatening notes an' stuff ameowt the competition on both sides but ya ain't tellin' me the moon's keepin' a killer diary, right?
[ Dragon tilts their head before barking again and looking off somewhere before tapping the fish facts. Then they will point in a direction and huff. Almost to say someone else did it. Or maybe timmy fell down the well. Who knows. Would be great if someone had an ability to talk to animals, huh?
They whine at the part about the killer diary before barking and heading to the stairs. Bark bark bark! Follow again! ]
[Or something. Dragon-dog is not getting off the (fish)hook that easy, though now Hans will have to go questing for the fish leader(?).
Or maybe they're about to find out. He can chill with just pantomime or flashcards, he's perhaps a surprisingly patient catte when it comes down to it, but Hans is ready to get moving, too. He'll bound over after Dragon, still sort of bouncing into the ceiling every now and then.]
Got it, got it. This place is pretty big when ya really start meowving around...
[ Maybe there's a hero they haven't met yet called Rose Gold Carp.
They will keep going until they get to the elevator. Bapping the up button with their paws and then sitting down patiently to wait. They wag their tail as Hans joins them. ]
Bark! [ The elevator is there. They walk in before they stand up on their hind legs and baps at the bottoms that don't work.
They whine before pointing to Hans and then pointing to the top most floor. Bark bark! They need to go there, but can't now. ]
[The most meowsterious hero that lives in the lunar sea.....
Another thing Hans has learned about since getting to Oceanside and most notably White Tiger dorm: the existence of elevators. They're not nearly as alarming as subways and motor vehicles, but there's something about shutting yourself in a moving box with buttons that's a bit claustrophobic still.
That said, he saunters in and grins when he sees the dragon flailing at the buttons.]
These ain't made for ya, are they? Should at least put in a chair for the li'l guys.
[That said, instead of getting the buttons himself, Hans points at Black Dragon -- who will very slowly feel themselves floating up.... towards the buttons...! They may end up flipping over but they'll get to the right height eventually.]
Giving a whine at suddenly floating like hello, but they will try to press the buttons. Unfortunately... they still won't work. It looks like they also don't have access to the upper floors. They will point at the top most floor before barking to try to communicate they need to find a way up there. Eventually ]
Jury's out on dragon-dogs, but who wouldn't want to float. Hans watches Black Dragon flail at the buttons some more.... Wow.]
What, they ain't even givin' you guys a way to get up there? How long have y'all even been stuck in here already... [a shake of the head, though he's kind of getting the message? still] What's even all the way up there?
[In the meantime he's just going to start pressing the rest of the buttons to see what floors they can get to. I'm assuming it's just the floors for the Week 3 etc. locations but also this is just catte vs. elevator round 54.]
