[ The state of the bar is... it looks clean. But there are napkins and there's some lids for drinks. Nothing exactly the size of the container, but they could feasibly use a cloth napkin to ensure it doesn't spill. Several shot glasses stacked up on one end, and there's a hose that would spray water... probably.
There is a way over to the Island Bar and Casino on the water. Much of the water that people encountered had raccoon traps within them. ]
Maybe let's not do no-handed yet. [ but he thinks this through, watching hans look around and letting him decide their best method of transport. since he does not really know about the water traps from before, he says: ]
Think we can either go the way we came and hope for a big enough distraction, or we can cut through the water. Whatever we think is fastest to get back to the car.
Water's full o' traps, if ya feel like takin' that risk.
[His tone says he could go either way on it, but we've established that he is a thrill seeker and ridiculous by now. While they're talking, Hans snags some napkins and a badly-sized lid, and sort of jerry rigs them together to make one functioning lid-like implement, that he then secures with a good length of rope and knots.
Then he's going to very quickly cut a piece out of his own outfit to wrap the ensemble in to make it less conspicuous -- good thing his outfit already looks kind of tattered and outlandish, so really, having a bit missing isn't that big a deal.
He's going to start moving towards the exit. Time's a-wasting.]
But they ain't got any idea who they're lookin' for apart from Whisper. If we get the smoke down right, they still won't know an' we can hit the crowd to get out.
[ well. he was going to scale the wall again but that obviously is not an option with the roll of 2, and the roll of 7 means he's not exactly primed to dart past whoever may be coming. so instead, he's grabbing his smoke pellets and also the rope. worst case scenario, maybe he can quickly set up a trap to clothesline whoever the fuck. ]
Time's up then. Are you two ready? [ ready for WHAT. they have enough smoke pellets they might be able to move and cloud their visitors' vision multiple times. ]
[ whisper is going to prepare the caltrops - if they're able to get past once they get the smoke down, she is going to try to make it harder to be pursued. ]
By which I mean Hans is going to start this operation with a meeeow and a smoke pellet lob -- which, unfortunately, clips a ceiling light and lands right in front of them. This is going well! Fumbling in general means he also sliiiides down from the ceiling to a wall, but he doesn't stop moving -- he's apparently vanguarding this, because why not.
Plan C means he might be seen, but he has enough rope that he'll go for using it to lasso anything within reach -- ideally, that would be any picture frames on the wall, but he'll also go for the shot glasses or a chair or something -- and sling it directly at roughly face-level of whoever's coming.
If smoke ain't doing it, try literally anything else so he can get past.]
The smoke pellet obscures everybody's vision. Nobody here got a look at these faces, the group is currently inhaling smoke and coughing from it, and the chair is currently being thrown at these people. The chair hits the target despite everything, but the other person triggers an alarm.
Sirens begin. There's several more footsteps approaching in a hurry. ]
well you know what, this is actually better because he sort of works best under chaos so! there is smoke obscuring everyone's vision but he's quickly moving to try and run through it and relying mostly on what he's able to hear to clear a path for himself and whisper on the ground.
you know what he doesn't actually need. this fucking pair of pliers as per the roll of 1. so he's going to take them and chuck them against a nearby wall with a roll of 10. he's mostly hoping the sound distracts whoever's rushing at them to throw them off and rush behind them.
he then does the same with the scissors, tossing them in a separate direction away from himself and whisper with a 13.
when in doubt though, he will also throw another smoke pellet if anyone gets too close, expecting whisper to take care of herself. ]
[ WHISPER IS NYOOMIN although she is not the fastest thing alive:tm: so she is mostly doing her best to keep up. coughing from the smoke does not help, but she covers her mouth with her hand to keep it suppressed.
as they make their getaway, she is going to throw some caltrops towards the oncoming footsteps with my surprisingly lucky roll of 18. between that and nico's quick thinking with the pliers, hopefully that can offer them enough opportunity to get out. hans, too, but he's still on the ceiling so this does not concern him (sorry hans). ]
[Hans is actually still on the wall because he has not successfully regained the ceiling with all the smoke and the necessity of slingshotting a chair across the room -- but that still means he's safe from caltrops. Nico yeeting everything and the kitchen sink does not hit him, though it's close. The scissors like, whiff through his hair going past.
Luckily, before the noise can give him away he darts forward and I don't know, throws the best-aimed smoke pellet of all time as he approaches the exit??? I don't know what's happening with this nat 20 smoke pellet, but it sure is smoking and hopefully will get him away from incoming and existing security somehow.
Either way, he's aiming to dive into the crowd as soon as possible and with as few people as possible the wiser.]
[ The thrown smoke pellet perfectly obscures their escape. The bunny's eyes are watering behind his glasses, and he does attempt to shoot at his retreating back. He misses wildly and nails some random person with an orange paintball.
Then Nico runs off, and the security do make for the noises that his thrown items went. He can hear a few pained noises as they step on the caltrops that Whisper leaves behind. ]
[ lmao x2. bye forever. he's going to cover his mouth with his arm to suppress a cough of his own as they continue bailing, immersing themselves with the crowd to get the hell out of dodge. he does at least make sure whisper is close enough so they don't lose her, also keeping an eye on hans to watch where he's diving to escape.
how close are they to the nearest exit, and how easily can they get there now that they've escaped the bar? ]
[ whisper is not far behind nico. she remembers where she entered, and while hans said to not exit the way they entered... it'd be easy. she is already somewhat familiar with where that entrance is, compared to the other one exiting onto wynn boulevard. ]
I will go this way, to the garage.
[ she is diverting course to ollie outtie. see ya. ]
[It's a cheerful hum under his breath as Hans slows down to a lope to keep with the crowd's pace -- his eyes are still watering a bit, but he disguises any coughs as huffs and puffs, pretending to be out of breath in the crush. The curry treasure is safely tucked under the odd outer layer of his outfit, secured with one arm.
He lets Whisper go on her way -- she's still the most conspicuous one, so splitting here will work.
There's another entrance to the Wynn Garage down by the Wynn Poker Room, so he starts moving in that direction, keeping an eye out for security so he can steer clear (they're anonymous, but who knows if they're doing sudden stop and frisks) as well as the group they passed earlier that may or may not recognize them. Wouldn't do to have an inconvenient reunion now.]
[ Whisper is extremely close to the Wynn Self Park Garage entrance in the Encore Esplanade hall. A crowd is standing around but it's not difficult to get themselves over to that exit and leave.
When they do this, there's a gas that triggers as they pass through. None of the expected things happen, not gas or poison or something to put them to sleep. It will make them talk in riddles for the next hour.
The majority of security aren't where Hans or Nico are. They were summoned over to the XS with the alarm. It's an easy walk out and into the parking garage. ]
[ someone please help whisper. anyway he's following hans out through the casino, heading down to the garage and hoping whisper knows the way. they all remember the plan to meet at the car, and so it's quick and easy in and out.
[Can't believe Whisper is going to be even more whispery than usual instead of speaking in tongues. Hang in there, whispery Whisper.
Hans saunters out into the garage to meet up with the car and its existing furry occupant and its deeply helpful driver -- it's funny how fast cars have gone from fiend-like machines to helpful machines (in various ways) to the pinnacle of heist mechanics all in one day, but perhaps that's just the pace of the modern world.
(Well, or perhaps not.)]
Nyahahaha, I gotta say, I didn't expect the treasure to be somethin' like this.
[--is his verdict once they're all aboard, the smell of curry wafting all around them. I don't even know what flavor curry this is.]
The group is driven back to Oceanside and will be dropped off before their driver disappears back to Vegas. Are these two places even close to each other? How did that happen?
