the tiger looks at her suspiciously, and then says, "Meat's bad." wow. helpful. glory smoothed it over but you still rolled a one. the tiger owner (?) sighs and reaches down to pat his companion on the head. the knights in the corner at the townhouse look over again, but the hubbub of wellgrove continues on.
the merchant opens her mouth to say something too, but before she has the chance, the hysterical woman squealing about the goddess bustles over and interrupts her, dabbing sweat off of her brow. "Miss Merchant, I went looking, but I couldn't find any animals in the forest! I really couldn't. Oh, goddess, what are we going to eat now..."
the merchant jerks her thumb that way. "What she said. I'm about to move town, because the hunt here's apparently not really good. I was only able to get one good catch to make jerky with. Everything else turned out kinda...well...like that. So...this is the only one I've got. " ]
[ by now kogi has finished sauntering downwards to join the group. sup guys, check out my shiny new trinket. it only cost him 20 whole leaf and I'm absolutely gonna forget he has 80 left ]

But it's been like this the whole week we've been here."
the merchant raises both her hands in an idk shrug also. "Yeah. Hopefully it'll pass...I really just meant to stop over here for a little bit, but... well! Gotta make the best of it. I mean, it's okay. The other sticks are... kinda weird, but the only one I've got's good? I really just wanna get out of here. I'll give it to you for 15."
