the department store is new, and it is the talk of wellgrove. the inside is hopping, and there are plenty of people milling around! in here, noticeably, on the bottom floor, there is a provisioner that sells herbs, tinctures, and other items. another seller, a scholar appears to be selling a set of lovely, glowing stones.
and on the floor above that, there's an armory in case you want a weapons upgrade! or some shields or something! they have quite the stock. there's also, weirdly, a store that seems to be selling the records for a gramophone.
there are a lot of npcs in this department store, but... you might say that none of them would have a << ... >> bubble above their heads, except for maybe the armorer and the provisioner and the scholar. my bad i forgot i added that. ]

... the man with the tiger watches this scene, for a long moment, and then sighs. everyone goes back to doing what they were doing because glory saved the day. he looks hungry AND depressed. damn.

"Miss Merchant, I went looking, but I couldn't find any animals in the forest! I really couldn't. Oh, goddess, what are we going to eat now..."
the merchant jerks her thumb that way. "What she said. I'm about to move town, because the hunt here's apparently not really good. I was only able to get one good catch to make jerky with. Everything else turned out kinda...well...like that. So...this is the only one I've got. " ]

the merchant raises both her hands in an idk shrug also. "Yeah. Hopefully it'll pass...I really just meant to stop over here for a little bit, but... well! Gotta make the best of it. I mean, it's okay. The other sticks are... kinda weird, but the only one I've got's good? I really just wanna get out of here. I'll give it to you for 15."
