It looks like they can do more than just answer questions though. They made a couple comic strips too. And did you find all the secret answers on that crossword puzzle?

Yes, and yes. I know you weren't there Saturday but a lot of people were discussing the crossword puzzle and pointed out the answers. And the comic strips are basically saying the same thing as the puzzles, which are kind of saying the same thing as the letters we're finding. So that's where I'm at with this. Even if they don't actually have any idea more than we do, we can't even confirm it because what they are able to tell us is the same information we already have. That's why I want to try and find a way to talk to them myself, so we can be sure we're all on the same page and they know what to look for and maybe we can springboard ideas off of each other.

Right. So an Ouija board is your thought? I don't know what that does, can you explain it to me?

It's my last resort, but yeah. Normally at home I can summon in other ways...an offering and the ancient chants to establish the connection and give ghosts a line of communication so they could accept the offering and solidify to speak to me. Its's part of my powers.

With a ouija board, from what I understand, it's a board and you have to be connected with the planchette. Keep your hands on it, and don't move it. It's a different means of channeling, you can say an incantation to open a line of communication and then spirits can control the planchette while you ask questions. For a lot of people it's just a stupid game and I don't think it'd be as effective as what I can usually do, but...it might at least help. I want to try to talk to all of them who're gone. If we can really bring them back somehow, they should know so we can work together.

It's not a bad thought. Communicating with them would be nice. But what if they don't know how to get back either?

I'm going to try it at least. [ whether it works or not, he's making the attempt. ] There's information they need to know about how to get back, and about what's coming in the next few weeks. It could help them start to plan, too, for getting back to us.

You're right, it's worth a try. Given how many people are here, I wouldn't be surprised if someone can bring back the dead.

[Their gaze is a bit distant though, like they're remembering something. Which means it's going to show up in a thought bubble, because that's what this week is.

Yeah. Even if it's not by the means I'm used to, there has to be another way to do it. At least similarly.

[ but he gazes at that bubble...and he's not sure if he should acknowledge it, but the look on his face seems to indicate that he's seeing something he shouldn't. hello? ]

[They seem aware of the fact that Nico is looking up slightly, so they look up above their head too. Then they quickly swipe at the thought bubble to chase it away.]

...it's the last words someone important told me, before they died. It's been on my mind a lot lately.

It's why I have to fix things in my world. That person entrusted the truth of the world to me, and I have to protect it.

That's rough. [ he can understand people's dying words being too heavy of an impact. ] So who is "he"? Are his stories that important?

I never met that person. I only have my guesses.

But how do you know it's the right answer then?

Because my boss said they were, and I trust him. He...

...my boss knew more about the world than anyone else. He told me that this man's survival was the most important thing. So, I trust him.

'That man' isn't the man in white, by the way. It's someone inconsequential to all of this.

I figured when you mentioned it was more of a home thing. [ but everybody's thinking of home things these days, aren't they? it's all nico's focused on. at this rate he just wants to get everyone back and out and back where...they want to go, even if it's not necessarily where they belong. ]

Do we even have any more leads on the man in white? Since he's the guy standing in our way now.

Nimona asked about the moon cycles earlier. When he showed up last time, it was a full moon.

Right. Prior to that, I heard the moon was lowering itself little by little before it unleashed an all-out attack. Did nobody think that maybe evacuating the city before that would help? [ genuine question. ]

Well it wasn't an immediate fall or anything, we thought it was just a supermoon at first. By the time we realized it was actually falling, it was too late. There's like 3 million people in this city. We did try to evacuate everyone, but it takes days to get that many people out. Once we realized what was happening, we had just a few hours.

[resumed]

[ the look on his face says "i didn't even think there were that many people" but okay, that's fine. ]

But isn't a supermoon like...bigger by default? The newspaper said it was lowering day by day which doesn't sound exactly the same as something orbiting continuously. But I'm not an astronomer so maybe that's not right either. I guess it doesn't matter now, it was obviously too much for just the twelve of you.

Rabbit gave me a rundown of the moon cycles though, so I understand that a little better.

[They trail off for a moment, thinking about it.]

We didn't realize it was falling at first, if that makes sense? Like, in hindsight it was totally falling, we just didn't realize that until it was too late.

B-but yeah, it's not important really. If it happens again we'll know what to look for.

I mentioned the moon cycles because that's what Nimona asked me about, so I wanted to make sure that information got to you too.

Thanks. Nimona usually tells me everything but it doesn't hurt to have things come from a second source as well just to be sure. This might seem like a silly question, but if the moon fell and crashed to the ground in the attack, how did it get back into the sky and start the cycle all over again?

I...really don't know. It just went back there after we defeated that man.

I guess the moon was involved in his power? And that when we defeated him, it released the moon from his grasp?

Also a lot of this information is secondhand for me. I spent most of that time forcibly transformed.

Which leads to the age-old question "which came first, the man or the moon?" A lot of his notes make it sound like they're on in the same at this point.

Normally I can control it better, even during the full moon, but the moon was really close...
