We might not have to go through the front door. Alternate entrances are a thing and we should always keep that in mind.

[She's not into the thought of murdering the white-haired to-be killer, truthfully, but...at the same time, it just feels so odd to be in a strange, unknown location such as this one without a weapon of some sort. It'd be reassuring to have some sort of weapon with herself, although perhaps it'd have to be a small one. Thank goodness her clothes will make it easier to conceal something.

Sigrun glances at her current boss]

Anything to be aware of? Dangers, little details that could wreck this all, warnings of any kind...?

[look... listen... their boss said they could do whatever was necessary. sometimes you just gotta stab people back if you can't otherwise distract them.]

Well, if we have to, I could always pretend to be a student so I can let you in through a backdoor. Sneaking in is way more fun, though!

Do they both work at the school? If we know their schedules, then we can find the white haired man before he can run into the other one.

Yes, they do. I don't have their schedules on hand, but you have a few days before the attack is supposed to happen. You can stake out the school and watch it if you like.

[As usual, Sigrun is confident. She gestures at Saya so they can step out and away]

What do you want to do about the white haired man?

The reason why it is easy is because all we have to do is keep the guy away no matter what. We could shove him into some locker, lock it away, and be done with it.

[They do have a specific day and time, and what they need to do is disrupt the murder attempt that happens at that time. Meaning that, as long as the guy is not with the target, it'll be a success!]

But I wonder what kind of guy he is. Let's figure out if he's going to be any trouble for us.

We should follow him home after the school day is over and get a sense of his routine. He didn't say we need to stop him at the school, did he?

Not a bad idea. That shadowy boss guy didn't give any special details, all we have to do is ensure the target will live. Stopping him by making him not get to the school seems like a good idea.

Mhmm, and we have a few days to do it.

Let's follow him and learn everything there is about him... I bet we could sneak into his house while he's working to find more information, and spare keys for his car if he owns one.

[Sigrun has never committed breaking and entering...into a normal house. Only into abandoned buildings, and in the least subtle ways possible]

[Well looks like finding the guy and following him around to get home is necessary. Sigrun stretches her arms, like she's going to tackle a very intense task]

Let's get moving. Who knows what time it is, but we're not going to find anything about him by standing around doing nothing!

[Guess our first task is to figure out where he lives, and tailing him perhaps will be needed. How hard can it be to tail someone by following him? Who would look twice at couple random people with red and black clothes who probably look mighty suspicious? It's all going to be fiiiiine]

[SIGRUN, PLEASE. the first order of business is going to be to find other clothes to blend in. come on.]

[Thank goodness the boss said they'd be provided anything they'd need for the task. Everyday clothing probably are included in that. Once Sigrun finally looks like someone you'd see on a random street and not care enough to look twice, she seems raring to go]

I don't tend to use this kind of clothes, but it'll be good enough.

[Except on the very few free days she has, but still!]

[Well. With their 3 and 9 that the sure did just roll, they're not going to find his class schedule or anything. But they will learn that the red-haired man goes to work, then to an orphanage to take care of the kids there, then home. That's his routine for the next two days.

He also seems unbothered by most things and doesn't get angry about much of anything. He's a pretty chill guy.]

[ROLLED SO BAD THEY FOLLOWED THE WRONG GUY...

hm, alright. does he drive his own car? and if he does, does the timing of the murder that's supposed to take place coincide with school hours? or does it take place later, still at the school but after classes have ended for the day?

saya would want to time how long he stays at the orphanage during these two days, if it's the latter.]

[Sigrun can't stop looking towards the hair of the guy they're following...

She had a 9. That's why she makes a comment:]

I feel we're kinda missing something here.

[...but she brushes it off as just her imagination. Sigrun in normal conditions wouldn't mix this up because observation skills and awareness are high thanks to her job, but it's a funny thing, she suddenly suffers a case of 'You Can't See Details Because It's Friday' even though it's Thursday. The power of the dice is insurmountable!

Sigrun would pay attention to stuff that might be of use to the posterior school sneaking, when they have followed him at the school area: where does this guy enter from? Anything unusual needed to enter, like saying hi to security, or using a special entrance for teachers, or anything?]

[He does drive a car every day, yes. There is a parking lot in the back for staff and he also uses the entrance by the parking lot. He usually stays an hour-ish after school too before he leaves to go to the orphanage.

According to the boss's report, the murder is supposed to happen at 1:20pm. So during the school day.

They will also notice that sometimes the red-haired teacher and the white-haired teacher arrive at the same time, and the white-haired teacher seems to have some kind of grudge against him. He's always rude to the red-haired teacher, even if the red-haired teacher doesn't react to the rudeness.]

[Only when the two teachers are at the same location, Sigrun watches how the white-haired teacher is so rude and confrontational, and the red one is just taking that pretty nonchalantly, and something seems to click. She pulls from Saya so they're out of sight, and whispers:]

We have been following the wrong guy for two days.

[HELP. love you nick for just running with this.

saya blinks, and then she starts giggling.]

It's okay. Hey, what if we steal his car? If he can't make it to work, then he can't get stabbed at school, right?

You can try to take the car if you want, but how are you getting the keys?]

Or we could wreck or set fire to the engine or something. If the engine doesn't work then he can't make it to work.

Hmm... Setting fire to the engine would cause an explosion. Someone could die. Is that okay?

[sigrun doesn't seem like the type to be down for that, so. would it be possible to pick pocket this guy for the keys, actually?]

Maybe if one of us distract him, then the other can steal the keys and drive away.

[Sigrun is a bit short-sighted when it comes to planning ahead. Great for improvisation, not so great for anything medium-term and onwards.
