[ Gabumon punch! Which more effective than when Vane attempted it, maybe because they're made up of the same kind of stuff when it comes down to it. The rock creature that isn't frozen, attacks back and manages to get a mean backhand onto Gabumon. "I'm okay!"

Lopmon aims another ice blast at the frozen one, trying to prevent it from breaking free. Unfortunately, the third rock creature can move once again.

Temenos, you'll have to be more encouraging than that. The unfrozen rock creature throws a rock at Patamon. It connects and temporarily knocks them out of the sky. Ouchie. ]

[ hey you know how you said there were pebbles on the ground. ace will pick up the pebbles and throw them at the rock creatures why not HE WOULD NORMALLY PUNCH BUT THESE LITTLE ANIMALS ARE IN THE WAY AND DOING THEIR BEST SO

Loppy, make sure Patamon doesn't get hit while he's down!

[ say more than that. though... whether it's for ace yelling as a distraction or for patamon it's hard to say.

still, vane yelling about protection feels awfully familiar, for a moment, and though temenos feels the loss of his healing as strong as any gale, he tacks on with the others. ]

You're alright. Back up quickly, and stay close to, ah, Loppy, yes? Cast from behind it.

[ Ace's rock throw hits the... rock, who's attention is now fully on Ace, allowing Gabumon to hit it with fire. The enemy isn't looking great!

Lopmon,who is quickly accepting their new name as Loppy, puts themselves in between the rock creatures and Patamon. Their tiny arms go up into a guard stance.

Patamon shifts just slightly, in order to throw out a burst of wind. This manages to connect, but apparently this rock is more stubborn than the first, not budging even as it takes the damage. ]

[ yea!!! rock on rock action!! ace makes a come hither move at the rock like come and get me binch ]

Finish it off!

Try aimin' another ice attack at it's feet! [ maybe it'll slip and slide across the floor... maybe... ]

- And then blow a gust so hard you snap its ankles in half.

[ One last Gabumon punch will erase the second monster from existence. It disappears just like the first one. A sweep of static and there's simply no more trace of the thing. "Almost done!"

"You got it!" Loppy aims and fires! The ground is covered in ice. Slipping hazard!

Patamon is briefly startled by the order, "-in half?" It won't even have ankles in a few moments, probably. They move out from Loppy's protection and throw another blast of air. It's strong enough to topple the rock creature! ]

[ The rock creature attempts to get up, and with a six, it doesn't manage. Gabumon, Loppy and Patamon all aim their attacks, one after the other. Between the three of them they've managed to clear out all the little rock monsters.

Goodbye, Gotsumon. Not even a corpse is left of them.

Gabumon makes their way over to Ace, "Are you alright? Sorry we got here late."

Patamon gets up, shakes themself off and walks over to Temenos. "How did you get here?"

Loppy cheerily goes up to Vane. "I promised I would protect you." And they made good on their word. ]

[ crouches to be on the same level as gabumon and offers a fist bump ]

We're great! Nice job out there. How'd you know we were here anyway?

[ LOPPY!!!!!!!!! ]

Yeah, you sure did! [ he'll open his arms up come give daddy a hug ] I'll be sure to return the favor, though, and that's a promise.

Where'd you guys even come from?

Now that is the question.

[ though he doesn't join the others in dropping down, temenos offers his arm, if patamon would like to fly up and join him? height advantage. (he's 5'7) height advantage. ]

And one I'd thought you might have the answer to, should you all sound as much that you were waiting for us. But such is not the case.

[ Gabumon returns the fist bump, being very careful about their claws. They seem puzzled by the question. "We just... felt you needed assistance. So we came as fast as we could."

Loppy will take that hug, but they are SO LITTLE compared to how wide Vane is. "You don't need to worry about me, Vane. I'm very strong." They're resolute in their answer, but they're also enjoying the hug.

They fly up and perch onto Temenos's arm. They're not all that heavy, at least. "We came from here. This is our home. We don't see a lot of humans." ]

... Alright! [ there have been weirder things around here, sure. why not. creatures who could feel them. though he's pointedly ignoring the "feel them needing assistance" part because they were doing fine. rude. ] Well, thanks for the help. If you guys know where we are, you got any idea how we can get back?

[ Loppy's getting cradle treatment. Please don't fall asleep. ]

We gonna have to beat up some more little rock things to get outta here?

Well. In as far as I can tell, that is the three of us.

[ he's pretty sure we're all peoples here. he scratches patamon lightly under the chin? scritch scritch. ]

Ace is correct. We would need to get back. Unless, I suppose, we've been drawn here to help you with something.

[ Perhaps they meant Temenos specifically required assistance. It's hard to say. Moving on.

"Which way is back for you?" asks Gabumon.

"The Gotsumon aren't what bring humans here, but I don't know what does." Lopmon's ears fall down, disappointed that they can't be of more assistance.

"We're here to help you. It might be better if we found shelter first. Something else might come while we're out here." Patamon gestures in a direction, suggesting that there's somewhere better to talk nearby. ]

Which way is back is a ... great question. [ welp. ] Well... guess we're all fine clearing out for now?

[ looking at the other two like "I GUESS?" they were planning to earlier anyway. he'll stand back up and start walking before directions are even given ]

Just show us the way.

[ Ace looks at him and he has to look away. Anyway.

Walking sounds like a great idea. ]

It'd be real nice if we can find some weapons or something, though... My hand still kinda hurts.

temenos gives a nod, though. ]

As Ace said, let's travel on. [ no more rocks ] We're at your beck and call, for the moment, little lambs.

[ Gabumon gives a little nod of their head and starts heading in the direction directly away from the shrine. Patamon will fly off slightly ahead, as a scout, and Lopmon is still being hugged.

Eventually they'll be led to an old school. It looks like this has also been abandoned for years on the outside. This door looks like its in considerably better shape than the one in the shrine. The windows are cracked, but not entirely broken down. Unlike the shrine, this building is nearly overtaken with plant life.

The door opens easily enough, and there's running water in the building. Inside, the place is strangely empty of dust.

Patamon, "Right here. You'll be safe in this building."

Gabumon, "And then we can talk about how to get you back." Though it seems like they're still unsure of which way back actually is.

Lopmon, "Did you do anything before you arrived?" ]
