[ ACE YOU'RE LITERALLY STOPPING FOR INTRODUCTIONS I'M CRYING!!! ]

[ Vane will just pick up the bunny in his arms. This is his now. ]

[ this is not that weird actually. he watches this wind spell go, mildly fascinated. orange mahina? that you? ]

...well, this is certainly unusual.

[ "I'm Gabumon- should we fight them?" They look between Ace and the rocks. He gets the sense that Gabumon will listen to orders or suggestions from him.

The little rabbit is so startled to be picked up, "I'm Lopmon, and I'm protecting you." Which is very hard to do when they aren't even on the ground. A little rude, Vane.

The orange one looks back at Temenos, and he gets the sense that they'll listen to whatever orders or suggestions he gives. They just barely manage to dodge the rock creature's punch by flying further up. "I'm Patamon." ]

[ LISTEN RUNNING AWAY FROM THE LITTLE CREATURES FELT RUDE THEY CAME ALL THIS WAY

and now he's just uhhhhhhhhhhhh again ]

Uh. Nice to meet you, I'm Ace? [ and he is not sure how comfortable he is ordering around a small animal to fight his battles but looking at the dark aura on the rocks. you know what. ] Yeah, if you think you can handle it!

[ shrugs helplessly at the other two like THIS FEELS WRONG ]

[ HE'S STILL GOING TO HOLD HIS LITTLE GUY IN CASE THEY GOTTA START RUNNING. ]

That's real nice of you, Loppy, and... [ Well, they're deciding to fight with them, so he'll set Lopmon down. :( ] If you guys have an easier time fightin' them, I don't think we can really say no? Let's do our best!

temenos looks up at his little creature, and then smiles. in his usual relaxed, pleased lilt: ]

Well then, my little lamb. Shall we? [ and like a duck to water, immediately, he takes right to it. watching the rock creatures punch upwards, he takes a step back so he can see the area in front of them a bit more clearly. path ability: guide ]

That same spell, again - can you knock one into the other with a powerful enough gust? And stay high, out of its reach. See if you can't knock them from the stairs.

[ Gabumon nods! "We'll handle it." If Ace is putting his trust in them, then there's no way they'll let him down. They do get punched by one of the rock creatures, but they return it with a blast of blue fire. Rock creature 1 looks like it's not doing so well.

Lopmon looks slightly relieved to be on the ground. They can take a few hits just fine. "We will!" Lopmon attacks with a burst of ice, but doesn't quite land. Luckily, the rock creature also misses.

Patamon keeps to the sky, and adjusts so they're to the side of the injured rock. Now they blow another gust of wind, aiming to knock them into each other. The rock creature 1 struggles to stay in its own space, but ultimately gets knocked into the one next to it. ]

Oh, neat, fire.

[ well. the punch isn't neat, but gabumon seems to still be... fine...? this is uncomfortable in that he is bad at not fighting and he is kind of rocking in place on his heels a little ready to intervene on the little guys if necessary ]

Hey, while they're knocked together, hit both at once!

[ tem is finding it so easy while vane and ace just kind of jiiii a little but it's fine surely these rocks cannot last forever ]

[ vane does something cool and sexy while ryza is making delicious food.

the blue fire! neat. that gets cool points also, because blue fire is the best kind of fire. he's keeping his eyes on the battlefield at the moment, waiting. ]

After Ace's is finished - strike them together again: don't let them separate.

[ Gabumon has a single target ability, but with Ace's encouragement, they can attack twice in this round. With this, the first rock simply disappears. The rock vanish in a sweep of static, leaving no corpse behind.

Lopmon's ice attack manages to connect, freezing the one farthest away for a round.

Patamon's next gale is a near miss, but at least they're far enough in the air that they can't get hit. ]

They just vanish? [ SO NO CORPSE? ok then ] Hey, great job, Gabumon! Keep going!

[ JUST KEEP MURDERING THE ROCKS ATTACKED FIRST ]

[ monsters turn to dust? hello? this is what happens. maybe they drop some loot. i hope so.

he's not much of a dancer so he can't encourage patamon that well, but he does make an approving noise? does this count. ] That's it. Try again; aim for the center of balance.

[ Gabumon punch! Which more effective than when Vane attempted it, maybe because they're made up of the same kind of stuff when it comes down to it. The rock creature that isn't frozen, attacks back and manages to get a mean backhand onto Gabumon. "I'm okay!"

Lopmon aims another ice blast at the frozen one, trying to prevent it from breaking free. Unfortunately, the third rock creature can move once again.

Temenos, you'll have to be more encouraging than that. The unfrozen rock creature throws a rock at Patamon. It connects and temporarily knocks them out of the sky. Ouchie. ]

[ oh no they're getting hit ]

Careful!

[ hey you know how you said there were pebbles on the ground. ace will pick up the pebbles and throw them at the rock creatures why not HE WOULD NORMALLY PUNCH BUT THESE LITTLE ANIMALS ARE IN THE WAY AND DOING THEIR BEST SO

Loppy, make sure Patamon doesn't get hit while he's down!

Oh dear.

[ say more than that. though... whether it's for ace yelling as a distraction or for patamon it's hard to say.

still, vane yelling about protection feels awfully familiar, for a moment, and though temenos feels the loss of his healing as strong as any gale, he tacks on with the others. ]

You're alright. Back up quickly, and stay close to, ah, Loppy, yes? Cast from behind it.

[ Ace's rock throw hits the... rock, who's attention is now fully on Ace, allowing Gabumon to hit it with fire. The enemy isn't looking great!

Lopmon,who is quickly accepting their new name as Loppy, puts themselves in between the rock creatures and Patamon. Their tiny arms go up into a guard stance.

Patamon shifts just slightly, in order to throw out a burst of wind. This manages to connect, but apparently this rock is more stubborn than the first, not budging even as it takes the damage. ]

[ yea!!! rock on rock action!! ace makes a come hither move at the rock like come and get me binch ]

Finish it off!

Try aimin' another ice attack at it's feet! [ maybe it'll slip and slide across the floor... maybe... ]

- And then blow a gust so hard you snap its ankles in half.

[ One last Gabumon punch will erase the second monster from existence. It disappears just like the first one. A sweep of static and there's simply no more trace of the thing. "Almost done!"

"You got it!" Loppy aims and fires! The ground is covered in ice. Slipping hazard!

Patamon is briefly startled by the order, "-in half?" It won't even have ankles in a few moments, probably. They move out from Loppy's protection and throw another blast of air. It's strong enough to topple the rock creature! ]

[ The rock creature attempts to get up, and with a six, it doesn't manage. Gabumon, Loppy and Patamon all aim their attacks, one after the other. Between the three of them they've managed to clear out all the little rock monsters.

Goodbye, Gotsumon. Not even a corpse is left of them.

Gabumon makes their way over to Ace, "Are you alright? Sorry we got here late."

Patamon gets up, shakes themself off and walks over to Temenos. "How did you get here?"

Loppy cheerily goes up to Vane. "I promised I would protect you." And they made good on their word. ]
